Chocolate And Vanilla Cupcake Recipe
Ingredients
To make this delicious cupcake recipe you will need the following ingredients; 250 grams of butter, 200ml of full cream milk, 4 eggs, 120 gram of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 500 grams of plain flour, a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 500 grams of white sugar.
Instructions
First, preheat the oven to 180°C and line a cupcake baking tray with cupcake liners. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. In three batches, alternate the dry ingredients with the milk, mixing until everything is combined.
Divide the batter into two bowls, adding a few drops of food coloring to one of the bowls. Scoop the vanilla batter into the cupcake liners, filling them halfway. Then scoop the remaining chocolate batter into the liners, filling them up to three-quarters full. Bake the cupcakes for 20-25 minutes and insert a skewer into the center of a cupcake, if the skewer comes out clean then the cupcakes are ready.
Let the cupcakes cool for 10 minutes before removing them from the tray and placing them on a cooling rack to cool completely. To decorate your cupcakes, prepare a buttercream frosting of your choice.
